Special Olympics Kingdom Games Curaçao 2025: Athletes from Across the Kingdom Come Together

From 20 to 24 November 2025, Curaçao will host the very first Special Olympics Kingdom Games Curaçao 2025. The event, organized by the Foundation SO International Events, will bring together delegations of athletes with intellectual disabilities from Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, and the Netherlands. Around 190–200 athletes and coachesare expected to take part.

Competitions will be held at the Sentro Deportivo Korsou in four sports: athletics, bocce, swimming, and football. Divisioning rounds are scheduled for Saturday, November 22, with finals on Sunday, November 23.

A vibrant Opening Ceremony will take place on Friday, November 21 at 7:00 PM at the Egilo Hato Stadium. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

The Games also include the Healthy Athletes program at FysioCare, supported by Lions Club International, offering Opening Eyes, Special Smiles, and Health Promotion. A Health Forum will be held on Saturday morning. The event will be supported by 80 volunteers and officials.
